Ginger Kennell MA LMFT

Ginger is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in relationship education. Intuitive and compassionate, she is a skilled communicator and a vibrant and engaging facilitator. Her dynamic and down-to-earth teaching style brings both lighthearted playfulness and extraordinary depth to her work with clients and students.

Education and Experience

Ginger holds an MA in Applied Behavioral Science and Family Systems Counseling from Leadership Institute of Seattle at Bastyr University and a BA in Human Services with an emphasis in Systems Counseling from Western Washington University. She has worked with individuals, couples, youth, families, parents and groups in inpatient, outpatient, in-home, and private practice settings. She has a special interest in the insight horses can provide us about understanding and parenting children with autism.

Horse Experience

Ginger has been working with and learning from horses for nearly 30 years, and has taught horsemanship to children and adults for 17 years. She specializes in Natural Horsemanship, a curious and compassionate approach to a relating with horses that seeks to understand and learn the non-verbal and energetic language that horses speak with one another. Ginger brings a depth of knowledge of both human and horse psychology and behavior to facilitate connections between participants and horses that become meaningful catalysts for healing, growth and change.
